Amanda is currently working as Lead Facilitator alongside actress Jackie     Phillips on the new ‘Poetry Roadshow’ Project being pioneered by Seven Stories.

This ground-breaking project aims to find ways to inspire young children’s poetry writing through drama games and activities.  The project also involves the children’s participation in the ultimate creation of a one-hour ‘Poetry Roadshow’ through their evaluative comments.

As a spin-off of this project, Amanda is now able to offer poetry-writing workshops to schools, to enhance the delivery of this part of the literacy strategy.  Bringing her large selection of dictionaries and thesauri with her  Amanda is able to share her wealth of experience in inspiring children through fun and play with language, and as a result  to achieve some wonderful results in  poetry-writing.
